am i right that we could have sign owen hargreaves anytime after the window closed coz he was a free agent out of contract player

also any club can Terminat a players contract leaving him a free agent
and can sign for another club

if true this rule needs to be used on bridge and others at the club after the 25 squads have been made

Free agents can sign up until the close of play today.

To become a free agent City would need to pay Bridge out of his contract. It would matter not to us then as he would no longer be around.

He is currently on too much money for other clubs to afford him. As he gets closer to the end of his contract he will become viable to others as he will be free but his salary demands will be....ahherm......adjusted.

The whole issue is that he is quite prepared to twiddle his thumbs on 90k per week until his contract expires.

Yes it shows a lack of ambition but he is maximising his economic potential. Something most people do.

I think free agents can be signed at any time but I'm not sure if they could be added to the 25 man squad after the deadline.
