How do you know if you have had it done?

count 3 bricks down under window mate look for a row of holes about a metre apart in mortar joints size of a 10p piece.

We had ours done less than a year ago. End of January this started appearing. Though only in the last week has it properly come through. Anyone know what this is?

Don't panic mate is the house pretty new under 25 years or so has it appeared over winter its lime coming out of the brick sometimes lays dormant in there and then comes to show you can just jet wash it off may comeback again in the winter for a couple of years then will disappear over time,some bricks get it some don't if your worried get the installer out but its not a major problem just a bit unsightly.<br /><br />-- Wed Mar 28, 2012 9:34 pm --<br /><br />

Thanks for your help fella's. Have emailed the pics to the installation company and will give it a jet-wash over the weekend in the meantime.

An update. The bloke from the installation company came round today and said what others have said. It's efflorescence. A quick jet-wash and all will be well apparently.

He did say it wouldn't come back once removed. Is this right?
