Anyone got 1 of these new panasonic Tvs with freesat built in.
Just wondered how much more is on them than Freeview.
They have to connect it to the sky dish, so i presume there is a fair bit extra.

140 tv/radio channels.
Freesat isn't Sky it is BBC/ITV
Here's the website

You know this Sky HD what you pay an extra £10 a month for. Is it really worth it?? I mean if you have a HD telly and sky the picture is good enough anyway or it should be.

I'd need to see a game on a HD box and a normal one next to each other to be convinced i think

The HD channels are fantastic... It's not just football either; more and more channels/programmes are being recorded in HD

I think if you want the HD service you need a dish installed... which even though necessary, is a bit of a pain.
argos install the dishes for one off payment off £80.00 (dish included in price)

Not the same as freeview (integrated in TV and no installation cost) and what happens if you move residence often? That would be £80 each time.

Think for the box/dish/installation you're looking at nearer £200-250

yes the £80 assumes you have a dish

occasionally lidl/aldi do a dish for around £80 don't know if they're up to the job mind

if you mounted the dish yourself you might save £50-£80

btw can you get dishes that'd just go in the loft? if you had a roof window thingy

Yes it's worth it just for the football alone. Hd picture pisses all over standard Sky picture the difference is amazing infact when i've watched a game on Sky HD and then watch a game on Setanta it's unreal how poor the quality is of the Setanta game compared to Sky HD and as someone has already said theres a lot more programmes in HD that are top quality
