Yep.
I've been on record as preferring Ndombele since last summer so I'm not overly broken up, but I am a bit concerned that we keep missing out on targets. Yes, we obviously have an unbelievable team anyway but its a concerning trend.
Not sure any of the other options will come much cheaper than 75m.
Hopefully we stalled (if we did) due to footballing reasons and not the threat of an incoming FFP battle.
Personally I don't invest any emotions in potential signings anymore, it's wasted.

Anyone took under consideration that it's probably a ploy from Ajax to force more money out of City?

Maybe I'm thick, but how does the recent revelations about the FFP (Der Speigel) hamper our ability to spend money on this guy? We are currently complying with FFP and nothing has happened with regards to the revelations so why would we not have the cash?
