Frenkie de Jong

Barcelona should be given a points deduction. Or even a year suspension from all football.

Pay your fucking players you absolute shit stain of a fucking club.

Forcing players out who don’t wanna leave while spending more money you don’t have on big name players. Fucking scum those “Cules”.

I find it hard to get angry at Barcelona because what they're doing is so clearly hurting themselves more than anyone else. No one at that club is ever going to help them out with a contract again, unless it guarantees some sort of pay-off of deferred money upon leaving the club.

They're selling their future with the TV rights, they're spending €50m+ and probably 90m on wages for a 34 year old Lewandowski which is as short term as short term moves get.

They're circling the drain.

Surely FDJ must of hinted at least that if he gets the money he is owed he will consider a move because why would the rags go over to Barcelona to negotiate this deal?!

Pretty much. He must have given them Some level of encouragement that he is open to the move otherwise this wouldn't be going anywhere at all. Possibly open to the move provided Barcelona settle their debt to him, not up for it if he loses it and will happily stay at Barcelona till he recoups it. It is easy to 'conclude' and then echo that he doesn't want to go there, and at times it does feel like that, but there also has to be enough of an indication that he does for both parties to be pursuing this.

Ridiculous that they're not under a transfer ban.

I think they know what they are gambling on. Staying big and competing/spending big against future deals that they hope they will be able to increase when needed. I.e through the or a superleague arrangement. Or some other sudden foorball inflation. They know theybare too big to fail, particularly in the short to medium term. And by the time they het to the long term, they will still be too big to fail.

Everyone hoes about joking what a dire state they are in and how impotent they've made themselves. But year on year they continue to sign the players they want, some ahead of other clubs capable of paying them, and I think that will continue. People may also one day understand what registering players actually means, who knows.

One I really do not get is Dembele. Wtaf is going on there, why does either of them want that move.

They tried to push him out, to get rid of his wages and to recoup some of the fee. Then they tried to extend his contract to get the fee amortization while halfing his wages. Then when he refused it got nasty and they tried to threaten him out. He ran his contract down and is now a free agent. Now they want to re-sign him, on half his wages. And he supposedly is ready to accept. Who gets what out of that, and who can possibly be happy given how nasty it all got.

Why would they be?

As I understand it, their issue is only in La Liga. They aren't foul of FFP in uefa competitions, there is nothing stopping them accumulating debt, and they are ok for all cup competitions as well. Their only issue is the wage cap for La Liga, which they have so far dealt with by deferring wages and some reduction, in the hope that when big incomes hit they will pay off the owed wages and still remain within the raised cap. Sure that is unfair as fuck on clubs that are simply making do with less and staying within their limits, but that is a La Liga issue to sort.

They are failing to pay their players.

That’s grounds for administration.
Administration is grounds for a transfer ban and points deduction.
