De jong was desperate to come to us at the beginning of the summer. Until we said we weren’t interested.

I think he's a terrific player but even aside from the money, and his recent form being a bit patchy, I don't think he's a fit. KDB has the role as midfield ball carrier.

With gundo and Bernie gone in a year I can see a place for him. But I don’t think we will go for him. Im guessing we’re waiting for Jude.

No we were going for him before Rodri and Jorginho if I remember correctly.

I like the look of him. Would be happy with a straight swap. Just need to bring his wages down.

My worry would be if we hang on to him this season with an agreement to let him go in ² months time we will also potentailly lose Gundo and Kev will be 12 months older, you cant replace both in one window and keep the same standards.

Money absolutely no object for them, so yes they can. Funny how Chelsea splashing the cash doesn't come under scrutiny anymore, just reserved for us still
