Got the rags written all over this, I think. Can’t say I’m too bothered. He’s a risk, never fulfilled the promise he showed at Ajax. Risks should cost less, but looks like Barca want upwards of £65m for him.

Won’t grieve this one if we can still secure another good target at 6 and possibly a longer term Gundo replacement.

Perhaps Barca's valuation was what tolmie was saying made the deal " difficult " ?

Why do we always get drawn into a debate about what is clearly idle speculation by lazy football journos? Moreover, I'll wager this story is completely fabricated to attract clicks and people fall for it every time. I doubt there are any reliable sources quoted. If it smells like bullshit, it most likely is.
