Awful performance

Spineless again from so many players...but the main issues persist.

Reijnders....besides the 30secs around his goal he did fuck all....go watch the game again...it just passes him by..he is walking most of the time while players like Bernardo and foden sprint around trying to win the ball back...he offers literally nothing

Donarumma - who were the people telling me over the summer that he is fine under the high ball when I said he was weak with crosses.....its literally every game he is costing us a goal or nearly costing us...he is an amzaing shot stopper but for someone who is 6,5 he is the biggest soft arse ever...if he had an ounce of Edersons bravery he would be world number 1

Fullbacks - both are an issue...NOR tries but he is getting done time and time again...Nunes we know the issues....

Stones came on (and I understand why Pep tried it - Nico G was on his last legs) but he can barely run.....again I said he should have been replaced over the summer

Savihno - sorry but Im done with him....he was through on goal and he bottled it and then tried to buy a foul....he should be in the reserves and nothing more

Pep cannot change this as he doesnt have the players to do so....rodri getting fit gives us more options but that aint happening quickly.....

If Arsenal dont win the title it will be the biggest bottle job in the history of football as we simply are bang average and should be nowhere near them
 
That was brilliant entertainment. For the neutral. City are going to be the end of me, my heart can't take too many games like that. It's like typical City is back this season, one half a game.
 
We need muscle and athleticism in the midfield. And effort.

Bernardo just isn't good enough any more. He was awful today. Foden's defensive work is not up to par either.

And how did we not sell Savinho? Good christ he's terrible. The break where he ended up tripping over the ball and the defenders was just a perfect encapsulation of the Savinho experience.

@slbsn was talking on X about how we probably can't afford a big January addition without a sale. Gulp.

A lucky escape in the end .
I was especting us to maybe win it by 7-2 when we went 5-1 up but taking Doku & Gonzalez off totally changed the game .

next week is brutal. Real away then Palace away. this defending we did vs Leeds and Fulham is about to be punished imo. and high flying Sunderland before that they are so far better than both Leeds and Fulham.
 
Games like this happen when the opponent hit some ridiculous finishes.

But the larger is issue the form dropoff in the second half of away matches. We see it almost every game. Opponents sub on athletic players and City doesn't make changes or doesn't have anything to match form the bench. Teams have adjusted over the years in this fashion. City has not.
