Fulham deserved a point after that second half, their heads stayed up, fair play…but to take all 3 is all that matters, sooner Rodri is back the better, need stability in the midfield. Haaland hitting the woodwork twice too, luck goes our way but also doesn’t, not worried…yet

Rodder just doing a steady Eddie job, sharing the defensive midfield workload, would be a big improvement. We might not see the Rodders if hold at least for some time but he is very sorely missed.

Foden faded a bit late on but I thought that was one of his best performances in a City shirt. Just need him to do it constantly.

And start defending properly. He was poor for 2 of the goals.

Three of Fulhams goals (the last three) came from where you would expect a sitting midfielder to be……Nico needed help there while still on the pitch and when substituted Phil and Savinho were both poor on closing down the shots that led to the last two goals.

Thought we looked OK again once Nico O’Reilly moved into the middle and Cherki came on and controlled the tempo.

Without Rodri, surely give Nico a run in midfield, paired with Nico probably at the expense of Bernardo.

Stones doesn’t work in midfield ( unless it’s the hybrid role )

I got so annoyed with our defending in the 2nd half as the Fulham whirlwind swept straight through us that I trod on the dogs tail, and he's run off upstairs sulking .. and then i spilt my coffee on my new white rug, grrrr !!!

F'kin City, I had half a dozen heart attacks in that last twenty minutes !!

Great entertainment, that. We switched off at 5–1 and they nicked a couple from the deflection lottery. No more, no less. In the end, a big away win — only Arsenal had won at the Cottage this season, and Fulham had conceded just three at home before tonight.

I think Fulham were good. They were very tidy in their build up play. A decent football team.

Can't be arsed reading through, as most will be about the defence.......our problems are still, as last season, the midfield, Nico is not near good enough YET, at least.....and some of the decision making and giving the ball away going forward, is beyond belief!
.....but we won ;) ......55 tomorrow, after that I feel 65!

O’Reilly would be immense in midfield, but he is our best defender. Imagine Ain’t noory and Bozo as our fullbacks

I watched the game yes. Bernardo struggled in that second half. Did you watch it?

Didn't struggle as much as those that came on, still going at the end

Nico went off for a reason, the subs on were the problem, they weekend our overall perfirmance.

That's how I'll see it in the morning, I think. Too much of a headache at the moment. It can make you so ill being a City fan, I've been one for over 50 years, but when we were s**t, I don't ever remember feeling ill with the pressure of it all because there was none. Since our first PL win, sometimes the pressure is almost unbearable. Daft isn't it?

I am actually angry after winning a game!! What does that tell me about City currently.
I have no idea what happened to lose control like that, well apart from bringing fucking shit house Savio on...
However this is not all on him. That was a team shit show of the highest order and we were lucky to win.
Where have our hard men gone? Ferna,Tevez,Bellamy and the likes. We are so fucking weak in EVERY tackle it is pathetic.
Do not let this result dress up the issues we have in our team. I need a break from this lot for the next few days.

What are the reasons for this shaky and completely weak defensive performance? Is the presence of Kolo Toure as the defensive coach the reason for our defense appearing so fragile? Or is the problem with the defenders themselves and their weak level?

Sometimes he can’t push the ball down the line and run after it. He needs a break and hopefully he rebuilds his confidence.

Did you see him tackle himself again tonight on the edge of Fulham’s box

And carry the ball from our 18 yard line with the whole of Fulham’s half to run in to. But yet he runs into the only defenders in between him and Fulham’s half??

Keep willing him all you want but it’s the hope that will get you in the end!!
