Fulham (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Having calmed a little I am so happy we got the win and we will maybe look back on this and enjoy it. However, I think it confirms we are only part way through a full re build.

There are a few good signs with the new players plus seeing Erling and Phil back to their potent best is a great thing. Nico has grown into a top holding midfielder and Doku has shown he is a dangerous player.

On the negative side I think we've had the best of Bernie, Nathan and John and they will surly begone in the summer as the next phase of the new era. We also despite how well Nunes and Nico O'R have plugged the hole need a top fullback. I think you can get away with one being less of a defender but both leave you exposed.

I also believe that both Savinho and Marmoush may never have a stellar career with us.

But good to get to 28 points but the balance of the side needs to be better if we are to challenge for silverware this year.

I don’t think he could have saved any of those shots. To be fair to Fulham their finishing was superb on all the goals they scored.
Aye, I think the 2nd one could have been saved but he might have seen that too late as well. Otherwise it was a crazy game, both keepers put together only made 1 save and shipped 9 between them !

Fulham have lost a home league match while scoring as many as four goals for just the second time in their history, previously going down 4-6 against Leicester City in September 1952.

It was shocking to watch but not as bad as it seems. Fulham’s first 3 goals were loose balls which fell perfectly and were struck perfectly. We were totally confortablen until then. The subs (we needed to protect Gonzalez) changed the game because we started panicking and lost control of the midfield and psychologically lost the plot for a while. I haven’t seen us lose the plot like that before and keep giving it back to the opposition but the team that was on was a mess at that point and their goals affected us badly.
