Fulham (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

After reading the first three pages Im going to hold back what I actually want to say about the frauds in the forum. Im starting to think there needs to be some sort of proper vetting being done for people to participate in game threads. So Im gonna just hold back for now.
If you want totalitarianism, then the official Liverpool fan forum is where you want to be.

I joked on my WhatsApp group that bringing Sav on would result in a 6-5 loss.....jeessus, it very nearly did. Did he actually do anything after he came on ?

And Stonesy ? Sorry sicknote, you should have been gone 2 years ago, hopefully we can deal him away in the Jan xfer window

He was not uncertain, he punched them away. Which is what Trafford would have done most likely.

Counter factual fiction is not the answer to sorting this team out. And the GK is not the issue. Taking off our DM on 64 caused all of the problems. And judging by Pep’s comments after the game he’s focussing on that. Hope Rodri can play soon.
Was Nico injured ?

I couldn't watch the game last night because it was on from 2:30 to 4:30 where I am, but I've got to say, after watching the highlights, I feel like people are overstating the defensive issues, and the bigger issue is the wider failure to control the game. With the goals, in almost every case we're looking at a ball that was initially defended alright, which then deflects out perfectly to one of their players on the edge of the box, who then manages the perfect shot through a crowded box. Obviously you could argue that players constantly being free on the edge of the box is an issue (I saw Smith-Rowe not being picked up numerous times in the first half) and that we've got to be clearing the ball more effectively. But I've gotta say, it also feels like one of those typical games where everything the opponent does comes off perfectly.

From the look of it, the bigger issue is the 43% possession and identical number of touches in the opposition box, which means we're failing to control the game in midfield and giving them enough chances in the first place to run at our defence.

But obviously I didn't watch the full game, so that might all be bollocks.
