Going to be a tough one this, Fulham are a decent team and fighting for their lives, any kind of win will do me, the lads are going to have to play at their best to come away with all 3 points..

Time to go back to a settled back 4:

Cancelo, Dias, Stones, Zin

Energy and press from Foden & Bernardo.

Kev in the false.

Sterling/Mahrez depending on which 1 turns up each week.
I’d say Mahrez has earned that right but I wouldn’t be disappointed to see Sterling start, he fluffs a few sitters but he scares the shit out of defences and there is nowt wrong with his work rate..

It will probably be a low scoring game, going on Fulham’s last 6 games. Chances may be at a premium. City need to grind Fulham down with their passing, before snatching a couple of late goals.
I believe the DC rotation would be Stones and Laporte this week. What’s your views on that?
Pace, energy and control required for this game.
Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Laporte, Zinky,
Bernado, Rodri, De Bruyne, Foden, Mahrez and Aguerro.

Aguerro needs to start a game now and if necessary pull him after 60 mins. In a tight match we may need Aguerro to take any chance. He is worth the risk when you consider the attacking options of certain players who can’t hit a barn door at the moment.

Thats my view.

P.S. Who is the ref for this game?. The ref could become Fulham’s most dangerous man.

ref.

Instead of the match prediction we should now have a pen prediction:

Dodgy Opposition pen given
Stonewall Opposition pen given
Opposition Stoner not given
Opposition stoner not given by on-field whistling wanker but overturned by Sky operating the VAR technology.
Opposition pen given for a foul in the centre circle but player somersaults à la Helmut Haller fifty yards and drops dead inside the area.
Opposition pen given for some clumsy oaf falling down the stairs prior to kick off. VAR discerned 'contact'.
No City pens today whether stonewall or 'soft'!

cheers again mate. lovely read as always and everything about the next opponent in once place. what will we do when one day you suddenly decide to go on holiday.

Don't worry, I will tell you when I am going away and I'm sure someone else here can step up for the game/s that I miss.

do you write these before the previous game is played. as you post so soon after the last one finishes. do you have to make any addition or deletion quickly depending on how that game finished goes.
how about doing post match for us as well or we getting greedy.

Yes, I normally write them up in advance, and some editing is required before posting, but not a lot as the sections that need changing, I normally have three alternative paras already written down in draft (and same for the graphics and stats etc.) so in case of a win, a draw or a loss whichever it is, I then just insert the one that is appropriate and post.

Re: post-match reviews, if I was being paid to write somewhere I might do that, otherwise it's always about the next one for me ... as what's done is done and we all saw that so what am I going to say that isn't already seen by you or others?

PS. Your feedback is appreciated every time.

That would be redundant then ... we already know, opposition pen given under all circumstances and if Ref doesn't do it, VAR will ... and for us even stonewall pen denied and VAR to hide behind "clear and obvious". And not just for pens, but same goes for all others fouls on the pitch anywhere as well and cards etc.

Without looking it up, another blind man ...

After checking, it's Andre Marriner ... so yeah, like I said ... another blind man!

PS. Ref/VAR etc. info is alongside match info in the first post, always :)

Will be a tough game I like what Scott Parker is doing and have a soft spot for Fulham as I went to see them a few times in the late 70's I hope they survive after Saturday of course. Would really like to see Stones brought back in and a midfield inc Rodri, Bernie, Phil and Kev.
