I probably shouldn't even try to guess how we'll play but thinking Jesus might be dropping deeper with Torres playing more advanced much of the time. More of a back 3 with Cancelo and Mendy as pseudo wingers although Cancelo will probably move into midfield with Mendy having more attacking responsibility

I appreciate Pep had been brilliant for us and can make doubters look stupid. But it appears to me to be risky to play such an experimental side with 2 players who have not played much recently and a youngster like Torres whose coming to terms with league . Fulham have a lot to play and are playing well. Couldn’t we have experimented against Borussia? Oh well hopefully such doubts will prove to be ridiculous

Let me do my job as mouth piece. With 9 games to go and an 11 point lead (minimum), if Pep has ideas in his head that needs testing... When would you suggest is a better time to test those theories in a live match?

A cup final? The Champions League? Against Everton in the QF? Or against a positive football team in the league in a game he could risk dropping points if things doesn't go well?


Think it through. And you have your answer. This is a Chess move for the Champions League later stage. Some can't see it coz they are playing Checkers.
