Fulham away, Putney Bridge tube closure

After Seven Sisters tube was also shut for the Spurs game last Sunday, I'm convinced a rag is running the London Underground...

White Hart Lane Overground Station is the nearest for Tottenham. Thanks for making everyone aware that Putney Bridge is closed a week Sunday. I'm planning on Pubs on the other side of the river from the ground. Does anyone know which Station is handy? The beer in The 8 Bells is too dodgy.

Putney (overland) is probably the nearest station over the river. Leaves from Waterloo, which is connected by the Northern line.
Went for something to eat round there after the game last year and it was busy enough.

Is everyone booking train tickets in advance? Would it be a lot cheaper than buying them on the day? Cheers.

It's always cheaper to book in advance mate, if you're early. The only thing is, you can only go on those specific trains if you want the cheaper fares.
A few of us on the 8.05 from Piccadilly, in Euston just before 11. I'm booked on the 7.15 coming back, arrives in Manchester at 9.45.

With Putney bridge closed can anyone tell me the best way to attack the ground from London Victoria coach station.
Is it walkable ie about 30 to 40 mins
Any longer and just wasting sunday lunch and supping
Not sure on distances
Arrive in at about 10.30 am from Roccadale
First time at the cottage

Thanks
Mutly

Almost a 4 mile walk.
Instead catch the tube, from Victoria to Parsons Green on the District line. Approx 20 mins walk to the ground.

Or Victoria line southbound to Vauxhall, then overland train to Putney for the other side of the river.

got two tickets (fulham away) got em for me n the mrs but not seated together so she spat her dummy out anyone need any thanks

Waterloo to Putney Overground seems the best route by London train. They're going every 15 minutes or so on Sunday.
