Fulham (H) | PL | Post-Match

Cheers. I was at that game at the Emirates and still forgot Eddie's penalty save!! Was that the match a few days after we tonked them at Wembley in the League Cup? If so it was an absolutely perishing cold night and blowing a right fucking gale. An Arsenal ST holder texted me at half-time and said he didn't go as he knew we'd hammer them again.
Yes mate

"but the rule book sates" means it is now possible to totally back up bent decisions.

To send off cancelo was wrong, what is next the rule book says if you score a goal on your birthday that is disallowed.

well done ref and those in front of VAR for trying sway a game.
You mean keeping their bet slips in play ;-)

Watching a pretty damn similar foul by arnold not penalised by the very same darren dipper England, fucking stinks!

Anyway the boys had to dig deep against a pathetically defensive Fulham who had no ambition whatsoever. The officiating kept them in the game with their cynical fouls, diving and time wasting.

First half I thought we played some great stuff and very proud of Alvarez finish. Soon as Cancello got his marching orders it got tougher. Bernie is tigerish and Gundo showed his passing. Stones played well and the defence got better.

Of course the thermostat was turned up to maximum by Kev. He grabbed the second half and was everywhere. The forwards who came on were opposites, Erling daring the cottagers to match him, Phil not convincing for me. Jack started off well but became a peripheral figure. Didn't think Nat had his best game either.

It was a penalty and yeah Kev probably exaggerated contact but we've seen the number of stonewalls we've not been given so fuck em. Could prove a pivotal 3 points CTID.
Always like a "So fuck em " thrown into a post :-)

Yes, I was sure I saw that incident in the match yesterday, but I think we'd better both sit down and take a few deep breaths. Liverpool would never do anything like that because FSG would put the club up for sale if they resorted to such tactics. Anyway, the match analyst - a certain Gary Neville - assured us that sending the Spurs player flying wasn't enough to justify a penalty. I'm sure I must have been seeing things anyway. Lucky the ref wasn't!

That paint the penalty spot incident was actually at The Baseball Ground in April 1977 when City were going very strong to win the First Division title.
Unfortunately we got beat 4-1 (I think) and it put a big dent in our title winning chances.
And I know because I was there.

Speaking or which new footage released of Sunderland v Derby at the Baseball Ground one wet Saturday in 1974

Nah, not having he’s not a learner, he’s reached the pinnacle of football, you can’t do that without learning a thing or two, you don’t have to be a physicist to be a footballer but you do have to have the right mentality, and he has it in bucket loads. Imagine being a winger, converted to a fullback/wingback, who has to act like a central midfielder, and be one of your teams main provider, then find yourself covering your centre half, that’s a lot of mental gymnastics. Pep demands a lot from his players, and I’d say his expectations of Joao are very very high (quite rightly) you’re right about the brain farts though, but in mitigation he’s played too much football
I was going to say, any player who is getting regular minutes for us a) has a super high football intelligence b) is doing what Pep asks from them and c) works hard in training.
