Fulham (H) Post Match Thread

I know we our fourth but i dont look at the table till the round is over , dippers will win and have fans in to spur them on

How are dippers getting fans in when COVID is supposed to be rife in that area??

11 changes, dont have a clue why no substitutions????

Moans like fuck yet doesn't do 1 change.

Is he basically saying to the bench "you want to start then get playing well"
Stones class again, Has Pep told Laporte your not No 1 anymore with that shit performance v Spurs?

Anyways I expect the starting 11 at UTD will be Cancello at LB & Walker back in the rest will be the same

No need to play anyone on Wednesday who starts Saturday

Steffen
Garcia Laporte Ake Zinchenko
Fernandinio
Doyle Bernardo
Phil Delap Torres
You won’t be far wrong with that 11.

December/January is a crazy mad 6 weeks of relentless games, squad management all important so maximise whilst we’ve got a nearly fully fit squad.

That win was more comprehensive than the 2-0 score line suggests.

I was astonished we made no Subs to rest one or two players for our bigger games over the festive period..

It actually pissed me off a bit, we passed up a good opportunity, given this stroll in the park.

Only Pep knows why he didn't seize the opportunity Subs wise..

Like others have said, I think you’ll see his reasoning midweek. I don’t expect to see many of the eleven from today playing against Marseille.

I think KDB should have been Subbed with about 30 minutes to go.Protect him.

Would liked to have seen Foden given 30 minutes against this Championship side.

steady win in the 1st half and a 2nd half that was anything but ? we have this sloppiness in the team this season and we turn off and don't play. don't get me wrong its not a moan really ? every game is different and you can't score 5 every week and teams are at a better standard to burnley

its the sloppy and turning off that we need to cut out. you can bet united and the better teams will hurt you if we do having the ball and passing it around the back line and keeper is ok. but when we are not on our game and don't take our chances and kill the game we let the other team smell something and give them hope

today fulham was never going to get anything they did have enough to hurt us. but at 2.0 city turn off jesus did not want to play or want the ball and goes missing or hiding ? our only player looking to keep on going was sterling

if its a plan or game management by pep then its a bloody risky thing ? even not using the subs was a puzzle
maybe midweek the subs get a full game in the champions league and the youth come in and sit on the bench and this starting 11 or get a rest with the derby at the weekend ?

its a win at the end of the day and its job done. but being sloppy can breed and spread then its hard to shake off or get going in the next game so 5/10 today

Pep summed the game up how we all viewed it I guess.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to BBC Sport: "We struggled at the beginning of the season for many reasons. Now four games, four clean sheets. It's so important for us to maintain this solidity.
"The finishing was wasteful. We know we have to improve this, but it's important to keep creating the chances. In the last 20 minutes we lost too many simple balls, which is a problem. We have to do the simple things better. That is the next step.
"Sterling scored a goal and won a penalty. It's important for the players up front to be scoring goals.
"This season looks like there will be a lot of teams in contention. Everyone can beat everyone. In this month it was important to get qualification for the Champions League, now we focus on the Premier League. It will be a long season."

People moaning about the lack of subs I would be amazed if he doesn't play a completely different eleven on Wednesday for which is a real dead rubber game.

Because their mayor worked with the government got the £aid and reduced their level of infection whereas our Scouse mayor played the hard line socialist and didn’t work with the government and Manchester remain in tier 3
