Seeing lots of surprise that Marmoush is back on the bench. He’s a hard one to judge. To me he always looks untidy and a bit weak, but then does come up with goals.
 
Suppose these two games are another chance for Foden to show his worth, as id imagine he'll start against Salford as well

Surprised Marmoush doesnt start, but I dont seem him in training everyday

Think there's probably an element of keeping Cherki fit for what is likely to be a very tough few months
 
Not even set off yet from Cheadle, the M60 looks dreadful.

7.30 is a pisstake kick off time!

Foden provided nothing for 2 months. He should stay on the bench and get 10-15min at 3:0.

Cherki and Omar are the players to play at the moment and this rotation is killing their momentum. If we lose their form we can play Phil all day long losing points as we did.
 
I can't believe that in a game of this importance he’s starting a player who is almost useless, while leaving two far more dangerous and in-form players on the bench (Cherki and Marmoush). There’s plenty of room in the FA Cup match to rest all the key players if that was Pep's plan for tonight. There was no need for Foden to start

Be a good option off the bench though, to keep the intensity up in the 2nd half.

I really like the solid midfield again, should be able to dominate the game in there.

Even Reijners was better option than Phil.
Now we watch he struggles to pass the ball and get decent shot.

If other players passed to Phil when he is free in the area instead of going for glory he would have scored 2 or 3 more recently. Get off his back and support all blues.
 
Would have loved to see Bernardo rested and put Cherki in behind Haaland with Marmoush left and Semenyo right and pin these back! Looks bland to be honest as I assume it’s Bernardo on the right with Foden central?
