I am very interested to see how we rebound from a very tough Wednesday night game in the CL. Fulham are tough at their place and I think we might see some fatigue. We have a deep squad but our injuries in midfield thin it out a bit. I would take a nervy 1-0 with the ugliest goal of the season if it meant three points in this one.

they played in Europa didn't they? Fulham are usually good at home yes, but then so are Bolton and Spurs, I think we will be fine.

I watched Fulham vs. Twente tonight and Fulham were given a tough match that ended 1-1. As always Dempsey stood out for me, he is really an underrated player who IIRC has troubled us in the past. Hopefully he'll be a bit fatigued as he was good. Andy Johnson was a livewire too but nothing we can't handle. If they play like today we should beat them, lots of space for our front four to operate in.

I can't believe there are already advance excuses from some fans here with regards to fatigue, it's way to early in the season. Players are reasonably fresh, we have a lot of strength in depth in the squad, and Fulham have played more recently than we have. We're looking to compete at the very highest level this year and you would never see the rags moaning that they're having to field a sub standard side away at a second rate team because they're a bit tired from playing 4 days ago. Rotation is needed in some areas but that should be to promote hunger, not to rest a poor lamb who had to play in a football match several days before.

No excuses, it should absolutely be another impressive display. I go with:

Hart
Richards - Kompany - Lescott - Zabaleta

Yaya - Milner

Silva - Tevez - Dzecko - Nasri

Anyway, scoreline 3-1 with Dzecko scoring 2, Tevez grabbing one, with Riise knocking in a consolation for Fulham.

Kiss my face.

If I remember rightly, Johnson and Duff outpaced Kolorov at home last season. So I'd play Clichy. Probably gonna see AJ, Silva and Nasri behind Dzeko.

The "continental hangover" shouldn't really have too much of an effect here as Fulham also had a European game midweek, and we've had a further 24 hours to recover than they have. We should be winning this one, Fulham look a bit toothless upfront and you'd have to bank on us scoring in this one, don't think it'll be a battering like last season though, I'll go for a 2-0 win for City.

Listening to a Fulham fan on t'wireless he was moaning about Jol pissing about with their defence. Last season their centre-back pair was Hangeland & Hughes but it seems Jol doesn't rate Hughes at CB so has been playing him at FB.

If he does that then the CB pair will be weaker plus Hughes could be a liability at FB. So I'd be tempted to start Johnno, Tevez (who will pull the CBs out of position) and one of Aguero/Dzeko.

I hope this will be the squad with Aguero and AJ to come on as a sub.

----------------Hart

Richards - Kompany --- Lescott - Clichy

-------------Yaya - Milner-----------

-----Silva ----------- Nasri-----

-----------Tevez - Dzecko-----
