Full-sized indoor pitch

Would cost them more than that if he resigned and then they had to pay compo to another club to take their manager.

Also worth it, as I have stated for the past 2 seasons that Wigan wouldn't get relegated under Martinez.
Great manager and his teams play good, open, attractive football always.

Unless Whelen went in for Bruce (for the third time), Keane, Ince, Strachan or any of the other currently unemployed former rags...... ;)

Do Wigan have a youth academy? I can't recall them ever playing a local lad that's come up through the ranks, or do the young boys of Wigan prefer playing doctors and nurses with their sisters rather than kick a football

I read earlier on in the season that they've got a bag full of young players about to come through

Sorry but Martinez is not a great manager, 34 wins in 127 games is not great, OK you might say not bad for Wigan, but if he was a great manager he would have better figures than that, let's not forget he lost 9 games on the trot and escapes relegation by the skin of his teeth every season which proves he aint learning a great deal.

I was looking at the Brendan Rogers stats yesterday on SSN. It went through each club and apart from the fact that he's not been anywhere for very long, his actual win percentage isn't that good!

Trouble with Martinez he doesn't have an unlimited amount of money. He has to get the best out of average players, which he does pretty well.

I'm not saying he's brilliant but he's not bad either.

The guy is having to sell his best players, your not gonna have great success if every year your having to sell your best, you dont build just evolve.
Would be interesting to see him in a job where he doesnt have to sell.

He's good at what he does, keeping Wigan in the premier league on a low budget, a team who you could argue should have been relegated many years ago for their size etc.
