Why would any one seriously apply a job without knowing how long the contract is for, the wage, a real job title or the company?

For example the likes of the BBC is full of people who do this sort of thing. They take the hit in terms of wage and uncertainty because they know getting BBC on your CV is a big deal and helps you climb the ladder.

Perhaps City want it kept quiet.

I presume the JD is provided once you express interest via sending an email.
