Full/Wing backs

why oh why oh why.........

is it a signature post of so many fans to fight to write players off as early as possible into their city career. Kolarov written off after a handful of games in the permier league - Joke post.

Can't wait for the first person on the match day forum to write Dzeko off 30 seconds into his debut.

I am well happy with our full backs, Zabba and Kolarov I would barely swap for any in the league. Richards is showing glimpses of his best and although it is out of position for Boateng I think he will become a very good player. Must admit I would like to see him at the back with Kompany sometime.

One thing is for sure if we want to become good and win the league we need to stop spending, stop writing people off 10 seconds into their career and actually let the team settle, let the players get used to each other and the league and then lets start making room in our trophy cabinets for the trophies that will certainly start coming in.

Alternatively we could swap our entire team every 5 games and see where we get too.

As Ric says, does nobody remember Evra's first few months in the Premier League?

Nightmare debut (getting hilariously torn to bits by a gleeful Trevor Sinclair) and some pretty shoddy games after that. Vidic was another slow starter, as was Drogba. Kolarov and Boateng just need matches and time to settle, as might Dzeko. In the meantime, we're 2nd in the league and are blessed with decent cover in Pablo.

Like mancini said, we are not going to buy 6-7 players every window like we did before. And said that we might get 2-3 players max. I think he will buy those 2-3 next summer :D

Give our defenders time. It takes more time to settle into the team and the league for a defender.

It don't take time to know to block-out a crossed/centred pass, especially if it's 2 yards infront of ya and your facing it, duckin out of them ain't new ground psuedo babble....it's simply a bit shit (bag).

Judging from yesterdays performance Mancini's had words, shame he did'nt have Gareth in on the same chat....cause ducking out of a crossed footballs path is shit no matter who performs it.

there's no point changing your back line half way through the season i think kolarov is settling in well and his attacking play is quality zaba will always give you 110% and can defend and attack so i think we are ok we are gonna get caught out in the full back posions cos they are the only players that offer us width going forward

Still think Richards is the best RB we have. But happy we have 3 we can throw at either position. :) Most teams don't have 1

AK blocked a certain goal in the first half against Wolves.

Yeah i noticed ('judging from yesterdays performance Mancini's had words, shame he did'nt have Gareth in on the same chat....cause ducking out of a crossed footballs path is shit no matter who performs it').

It might be worth noting right here that blocking-out is sort of par for the course for a defender and not reason to collect Oscars. Least it was pre-internet (forums).
