Funniest Chelsea excuse?

Cech was rubbish for both goals, after being the best 'keeper for 4/5years he could be on his way out.

Not been the same since his head injury imo. But he's still only 27, so as a keeper he could still have 10 more years at the top.

That Andy Jacobs will have the best excuses on Talksport tomorrow

Sorry, didn't realise he had a thread all to himself

My mate (Chelsea fan) , waited for us in the manchester after the game... His first words were.... "The weather suited City more than Chelsea".... YCNMIU

I think you'll find that the overwhelming Chelsea opinion is that there is no excuse. We were outplayed and were frustrated by you lot.

The whole thing with the kit isn't an excuse, it's just superstition and all that. We've lost every game we've played in it.

Chelsea can accept fair defeat much better than any other top four club and will applaud good play when we see it. Stop painting us as if we all have ridiculous excuses because 99% of us don't. City were the better team on the day.

That's why Chech was giving it the big one at the ref at the end of the game then?

As I said on the field, the team were frustrated. Chelsea can still accept defeat and the fact they simply didn't play well enough better than any other top four club (with the exception of Barcelona which was a disgrace, a fucking disgrace :P). Wenger, Benitez and Feguson always have an excuse when they lose and almost always say the referee decided the game. Ancelotti said that the referee got a few things wrong but they didn't play well enough.

Fair play Fulham. Think our backs are up mainly because of media and some pundits. I stayed to clap the team off and the majority of your players gave good handshakes, in particular Drogba. They new they had been beaten by, on the day, the better team.

Some older chappies in my local were going on about the rain not suiting chelsea after the match on saturday. Told them next time chelsea play and its raining, Ancelotti should issue his players with those pop up brollies so that they don't get wet.
Nice to see lots of Blues at Shambles and in Corbiers.
