Fusilier Samuel Flint - City fan lost in Afghanistan. R.I.P.

Condolences to all the families so tragically affected.
 
Rest in peace Sam, My thoughts are with your family and your two comrades. Like others have said WHY? Lets get our young lads and girls back now.
 
Let's pray that yet another young life has not been wasted without a worthwhile outcome from all this if at all possible

My next door neighbours son, Peter, is the same age as Sam and has just returned from some months of duty in that god forsaken country. I think of Peter and see his smiling face, and then I read about this tragedy befalling Sam and his mates.

It really is a case of there but for the grace of god go I.

I truly hope that the ultimate sacrifice made by Sam and his mates has not been wasted.

My sincere thoughts go to Sam and his family.

Lets hope Sam is watching from somewhere and that City can take out the Cup final.
