future stars...

Jack Wilshere seems to Englands brightest young player, I can see him turning into a better player than Paul Gascoigne was.

May i check is this Weiss the lad who came on against bolton last game of the season, the youngen who played on the right i think, not certain..

Does anyone really thing that young talent is the way MH is going - zab, swp, tbh, robbie, shay, bridge, bellamy, de jong, vince, tevez, ade, barry, rocky - average age I would guess somewhere around 27, nobody that young in that list?

just a wonder,if we get experience at the back lets say two players. should we not strenghten our midfield support with delph or costa ? and develop our own "ashley young" type of attacking/creative midfielder.

Ashley Young is coming

Not Delph.

Ricster named a few interesting prospects the other day though. Sounded quality.

Here is what i wrote the other day ono.

Henri Saivet, most people have heard about this youngster, but he is being touted as the next Henry, who also started his career as a wide player. Saivet plays for Bordeaux in France. He has made a sub appearance last season for the first team, but the Bordeaux management are trying to nurture this lad, which i think is the correct thing to do. Alot of people think the lad is French, as he has played for his country at youth levels, but he is actually Senegalese. He wont be in France for long, to many people know about him.

Fabio Coentrao, this is the only other younster i can think of that wets my appetite. Less of a worker and more of a flair player. But when he turns it on, boy does he turn it on. He can play on both flanks and is a natural on the ball. Benfica have done the right thing in loaning him out to gain some first team experience. Hate to say it, but could seriously be the nearest prospect to be as good as Cristiano Ronaldo Check this vid for an example Check out 58 seconds, it still leave's me in awe.

douglas costa looks a good up and coming young star price quoted about 20 million bit much i think but does look good

On the home front , as well as Weiss (who has now broken through as well as Trippier etc) we have....

Alex Nimley: a class striker with the U18s as well as..

Ahmed Benali: an attacking midfielder already playing a year up with the U18s , an England cap under his belt and an article in last month's City Magazine...

...watch this space

keep up the good work Jim Cassel
