Future Strikers

Lautaro Martinez or Erling Haaland, probably the two best young strikers aside from Mbappe in the world. I know Lautaro is destined for Barcelona but they're skint, we should turn up and sell him the dream immediately. A year fighting with Sergio for top spot and then it's yours on a renewed bumper contract if you're it.

Haaland is the obvious answer and it's not close in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of Lautaro also but Haaland is the killer in front of goal that we simply don't have in the team right now.

Yup. Havertz or Oyarzabal could be the answer
Think Havertz should be our first target myself. Can’t say I’ve ever seen Oyarzabal. I do think, as long as Pep stays after Aguero we’ll see a far more fluid front 3 for me that would include Jesus , Sterling and ???. With the Foden or Bernardo getting into the box to support the forwards much more than David does / did. Of course if Pep was to leave next summer with Aguero that could all very easily change to a more traditional centre forward being needed.

Fully agree on Havertz. He seems like one of those who can just play anywhere in the attacking line. He's incredible.

Alexander Isak. Just scored a great goal set up by a left footed cross from Mikel Oyarzabal (I've seen him more and more and I get why Pep wants him, very intelligent and underrated).

Would never ever happen but Greenwood would be my dream signing up front. Probably the first rag I’ve ever wanted at our club. Has got 15 goals and 5 assists this season so far, primarily as a back up with very little service and only 18yo

Would be a great player for us. Shame, if he was at another club I reckon we'd be in for him

Alexander Isak

Natural finisher, tall (almost 6'4), very technical and got an elite first touch, fast, completely two footed, excellent movement. He's a very smart player with excellent mentality. Plays like a little bit less skillfull Henry or Eto'o while being 192cm tall

Here is every touch of his performance against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu where he single handedly knocked them out of Copa del Rey pretty much by himself. 2 wondergoals, 1 assist, Odegaard scored his rebound for the first goal and even had a nice goal dissalowed for offside. I feel like Pep could bring out such performances a bit more frequently because the talent is there to show

Nobody's really talking about him, but I would go for Donny Van de Beek. He has really good technique and can strike a ball first time in the box. He has very good link up play in tight spaces as well. Plays similarly at Ajax and defends and presses from the front. Ajax aren't a hassle to deal with and almost always sell their players. I think he'd be a cheaper option to Havertz, but just as, if not more effective. If no one picks him up this window, I'd have him to replace Aguero.

I think we're in the midst of a generation change, new stars will emerge every season for several years. Pretty sure next summer everyone will forget about now-popular Norwegian poacher and demand to spend millions on some other new kid :)

I like the idea of signing multifunctional players, as it leaves a bit more room for error.

Get rid of Jesus and Aguero, bring in 24 year old Henry and 25 year old Messi.

120 goals + 70 assists a season between them.

I don't really see how Van de Beek is a striker option. Havertz is also not a striker but is at least he is a lot quicker than VDB, scores more goals and plays further forward. Van de Beek is no more of a striker than our current midfield options (Bernardo, KdB, Foden) or our wingers (Sterling, Mahrez).

Watched taht first video, and other than the goals he was shocking! haha. Football hey. Gave the ball away so, so many times. Redeemed himself with the goals and assist though. Would be pulling my hair our in frustration if he hadn't bagged.

Interesting responses.

From the limited Ive seen of Harvetz he looks more like an attacking midfielder than a striker ( a very far advanced KDB if you will) - maybe not positionally but just in the way he plays - not that that is a bad thing mind!

Iask - something says Paulo Wanchope to me when i see him move and run!

Haaland - seems a no brainer to me - looks like he has everything in his locker - complete all around strike - young and may not reach the level but he looks like he easily could at the moment. I think we would have to fight Bayern, Chelsea, Utd and the big Spannish two for him and its a fight i dont think we would win based on our unwillingness to pay big transfers

Lacazeete and Aubamayang - when they went to Arsenal I would have had either of them - Lacazette over Aubamayang if there was a prefernce - However Lacazette is 29 i think Auba is 31 so both are the wrong age profile now.

Mbappe - well obviously but I think he has Real Madrid written all over him

I do think we need a more direct replacement - i can see why people will say Pep will go for a false 9 type of player but I think that restricts our options - jesus, sterling bernardo, foden - can all play that role - we need an out and out goal scorer like Aguero in my opinion

Havertz is the one. Maybe not a striker, but he can play there and Pep isn't likely to want a Lukaku-type up front anyway is he. Think he wouldn't be outrageously expensive plus it would be good to get one over on Bayern and they apparently can't afford him this summer.

Greenwood is really special though. Seen him a couple times at academy level, and he’s looked a class above the rest every time

Yeah he struggled a bit first half but came to his own in the second half that game
