Gabriel Batistuta

Amazing player - if he was in his prime today I can guarantee he would be the sort of player Mancini would bring to City.

Cavani reminds me of Batistuta a lot.

way more powerful than rvn - great player, had everything

RvN + Drogba then.

I never heard new emerging talents called the next Batistuta. I think it's because he's a unique/rare type of striker, striker that could lead the line perfectly. Plus, the change of teams playing style in the last decade makes it hard to find strikers like Bati.

he is pretty unique if my memory serves, quick, strong - could hold it up or run in behind, great in the air, could take someone on, scored tap ins and worldies - not much left!!

The best forward I've seen in my life playing for Argentina (I'm argentinian). He's te top scorer of the national team with 56 goals (10 in WC) in 78 games. Unbeatable.

although I think Beckham is a ****..... just watch his sending off against Argentina in the 1998 world cup.... who is right next to the ref when Beckham is sent off, nodding his head in approval..... went down in my estimation after that..... twat

Apart from the bit with Beckham being the "C" word;( England have done much worse and so have Scum):

These were my thoughts exactly when I saw the title of the thread. A wonderful Player though.
