Gabriel Jesus return from injury

Playing devils advocate here - but surely it is in our negotiation ( for AS ) interests to say this injury is no big thing .....

Just a thought

It would, but if we wanted to do that, why not go the whole hog? Say on the official site that it's minor, he'll be gone a fortnight, wrap up a deal for Sanchez and then say it's worse than expected, these things take time to become apparent sometimes, new scan's have revealed... etc.

It doesn't make sense to say he's got the MCL injury officially if we were trying to negotiate, and I doubt Jesus would be in on it anyway.

So he's likely to miss around 12 games if we're looking at 6 weeks or so. Might be worse though.

Fingers crossed we might be able to get him back fit sometime around the weekend of the FA Cup 5th Round. If we're still in it, ideally we could give him some minutes. We either play Arsenal away the following weekend or the Carabao Cup final so the more up to speed we can get him the better.

If it doesn't impact his recovery time too much, i'd let the kid go recharge his batteries back in Brazil for a few weeks. See if some sunshine can help him get his goalscoring mojo back.

I don’t think that’s the way we do things tbh mate.

I did my medial took 3 months without any expert help if he’s back for the end of March I’d be happy, I called it at the time when watching the incident, didn’t think it would be ACL it would be medial if anything. It’s not as bad but gives you jelly leg any type of turn of the knee.
