He's scored twice tonight.

I predict he's off to Barca in January. He's easily the best player all year and he's driving them towards the title. Can't see the selling him right now.

These players will always go to Barca over us. Neymar will be their hero and the weather is also a major factor for these players.
I don't believe this one was ever a starter, given Barcas interest.

More because of social-cultural aspects rather than the weather I'd say, though I wouldn't be surprised if it made some difference.
And Barca has a history of signing and nurturing Brazilians, such as Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. (Lot's of R's)

That's where he'll end up, and I am looking forward to seeing this kid develop.

Posts like this do make me chuckle.

Romario and Ronaldo were signed from PSV.

Rivaldo was from Deportivo La Coruna.

Ronaldinho was from PSG.

Barcelona have only ever signed 1 big name from Brazil - Neymar. It's hardly a pattern. If anything your list suggests the kid is most likely going to go somewhere else and then end up at Barca later.

Which club those national icons left for Barcelona has probably very little to do with a young Brazilian wonderkid's view on the Catalan club. I was making the point, that the club has a history of siding great Brazilian players, and that would likely have an impact on the kid's ambitions and dreams.

If it had an impact perhaps he'd notice that Barcelona isn't the place you go straight away, or perhaps he'll notice that Neymar has had $100m in assets frozen because of the tax fraud case against him over his Barcelona transfer.

Who do people rate better out of Sane and Gabriel Jesus? If we are willing to pay 40 million for Sane surely we can up our bid for Gabriel Jesus.

The problem I have and from the people who's tweets I quote is that Barca may have shown the strongest interest but it doesn't benefit him at all to move there and play under Neymar. He should have a great Olympic run but his next goal is to make the senior team and can't do that sitting on the bench as a still young Neymar's protégé.

Gabriel Jesus is the better finisher at the moment.

agree with this 100%

At this point I would say Sane is the better prospect....he's played in a tougher league and has experience at international level....Gabriel Jesus is an exciting talent and hope we can sign him but could take a year or two before he's ready to jump into the starting 11..Sane is a day one upgrade!;) cheers

I don't know if this has been posted but it seems he is regarded as something special over there, something of an oldschool Brazilian talent from humble beginnings spent a lot of his youth on grassless pitches which is becoming rare with the amount of academies over there now. I don't know how true it is but some believe it's significant in how his raw skills have developed, the type of Brazilian that fights to stay on his feet, braces against impact etc and extremely fast on the turn, all sounds like the type of player that could flourish in the BPL.

I hope we take a punt on this one(for the right price) just on the chance that if he does make it we'd have a rare gem on our hands. It does look like Real and Barca are taking a good look at him too though and he isn't the finished article yet(says he wants to stay at Palmeiras for now which might be best for his development unless Pep has other plans for him).
