Palmeiras don't want to keep GJ and he doesn't want to stay.

So no, they aren't the same thing.
what the hell, where did you get this bullshit from? he has stated numerous times he wants to stay and Palmeiras are in absolutely no rush to sell him, which is why he is not leaving until january, once the Brasileirão is over

We don't have any emerging talents coming through from America and yes SOUTH America have in the past had some cracking players come through. My point was, why we signing this guy when we have Nacho, he looks to have the talent and the ambition already. This guy does not show anything to be special at all, and for me I am out. But I am happy to let our fabulous owners have the faith in the recruitment team to do their job to their best :)
I like Nacho don't get me wrong I want him in the team and see a future for him but my point is you know nothing about this kid really and are writing him off as nothing special. You must accept Jesus Kippax to find true happiness.

How much have you seen him play, YouTube highlights not included, to come to this conclusion?

fuck me some of you lot are fucking baby's if we don't agree on a player.

Calm your tits. I respect your posts and agree he's not the next neymar or ronaldinho. He's Gabriel Jesus. With all u20's it's a gamble on youth. He's not a Kelchi replacement at all. He might not even come in january. Kelechi prefers to play behind the striker anyway (fairly certain I've heard him say this) and Gabriel looks to be more of an aguero replacement than a wide player anyway. Phase gabriel in the next three years along the front three and then he might be perfectly primed to replace Aguero in 2020. He's tough, he's humble, hard working andwith talent galore. That's 100% what Pep looks for. If not Gabriel who else around the world are you asking for? Would you rather us not scout/buy world class youngsters or pay stome stupid 70m fee after aguero's time is up?

Most young players won't become world class, even when they look very promising at 18. So buying lots of them and then keeping the best ones is a sensible decision. Iheanacho had a fantastic first season, but there's still no guarantee he'll become a world class striker. Sometimes players don't develop as expected. Sometimes they have one good season, but struggle to replicate it after everyone stops underestimating them. You can never have too many talented youngsters.

I did giggle `:D

We already have great players coming through our academy.

I think it's another angle on the Leroy saga. I think I've read reports that Sane will be willing to come to us next year if we can't agree on a fee with Schalke for this year. I like the game Txiki is playing this window. Jesus will definitely come in January if Schalke want to test us and keep him IMO. Speculation.

: ) Thought you might like this. All in good fun. I think it's a good discussion you've brought up regarding him. I've spent way too much time watching his clips as I've been asking for a young player with world potential that breaks out under us for a while now. The more I watch the more reservations I have for him. We don't have any world class talent at the striker position in the academy and I think he will be the fit there. We have amazing talent but nothing worldly at the striker position. Get Sane and Gabriel to compete for this. Sterling, Moreno, Roberts, and Diaz for the other attacking positions. Sadly I'm not seeing it from Barker which pains me to admit.

Edit*** Left out Kelechi. I love him btw. Jesus, Kelechi, and possibly Sane gives us a lot of options there. Brilliant options : ).

No it isnt, its not even close. MLS is shit, almost every prospect or good player from there fails in europe, even Russian league is better

MLS is shit but it's pretty fun to watch in all honesty. It's not that the talent can't develop there it's that the US youth system is absolute garbage and the young foreign stars develop in their own country or move to academy's abroad. They have no youth development there. It's only college soccer which isn't ideal for producing serious talent :(. It's at a stagnated stage where the players that are playing there are suited perfectly for what their talent suggests.

What is a baby's "if"? As in, "you guys are fucking baby's if"

Whatever it may be it sounds like something we shouldn't be condoning it, lest the BBC and plod organize a televised jolly chez us.

He's not as skillful as Ronaldinho or Neymar but those 2 are once in a generation types.

If he reaches a level near 75% of those 2 or scores loads of goals like an Andy Cole/Aubameyang we'd have a fantastic player. He doesn't have to reach Ballon D'or levels to be a huge success

From watching basically all his appearances via the "vs" vids here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJELN-JJ9lw7u9KeuvxKb7w/videos I think he could do exactly that. He's raw at times but looks a deadly ST in the making

Same. You see a lot of Aguero in him?
