Galaxy s2

If you can stretch to £26 you can get the S3 on T-Mobile with 300mins, unlimited texts and 750mb internet, or 100 minutes, unlimited texts and 1.5gb internet (I went for the latter) on mobiles.co.uk. Quality phone, think it's worth the extra.

Just warning you of my experience, that's all. The phone was great, before it broke. Samsung 's repair partners, not so great.

Some people rate customer service over price/cost. Companies always want to sell you the stuff, but if it breaks then more often than not it's a twat to get anywhere with them.

My repair nightmare has gone on since mid May. So I'd suggest use the saving to insure it, rather than rely on manufacturer's warranty.

the problem with that one was carphone whorehouse not samsung
personally I won't deal with anyone other than the network vendors themselves - I've got all my phones on vodafone (apart from a bizarre one with AT&T) and have never had any issues with them

I've got one of these phones , and am halfway through the two year contract .... so far i've had no problems , but as i'm paying £11 quid a month extra to 'protect' this phone , there'll be hell to play if i don't get a satisfactory outcome if and when when it does pack up!

Im on 02 network ... phone purchased at Birchfields carphone warehouse.

Steve, that's why I put "Samsung's repair partners, not so great."

Intercity who are the third party Samsung use for repairing their phones in the UK aren't that amazing either if you see my latest update on that thread (3 week repair turnaround). Samsung don't repair their phones direct.

I could have just not said anything, but thought it would be useful for the guy to know so he isn't just blinded by a good offer.

-- Sat Aug 04, 2012 5:44 pm --

As it's insured, you'll be fine mate (exchange or at least a temporary phone whilst being repaired). But if you aren't and have to deal with the manufacturer's warranty, it's been a pain in the arse for me.
