Gallstones

I had them and had to get my Gallbladder removed about 6 weeks ago.

But the stones wasn't the main reason i had it out,i had Severe Acute necrotizing Pancreatitis and Stones were found and had to have my Gallbladder out as there was a good chance the Pancreatitis would flare up again.

Had no problems whatsoever since and feel top of the world. Still under hospital observation though with the Pancreatitis.

Also i'm quite sure the Pre-op Nurse said to me almost everyone has Gall Stones, they just don't know it or it doesn't bother them.

Pancreatitis just come on real fast, been out in the morning then 6pm being Sick didn't sleep that night, couldn't stand up or lie down in so much pain.

Gotta taxi to to the walk in centre went in, they thought i was having a massive heart attack, got in an ambulance to Arrowe park and within 2 days was in a critical condition, Mam n Dad gotta call at 2am saying i had 12 hours to live or something to that vein and to come down to the hospital.

Came through it, Transferred to the Royal were i had 2 drains fitted and had what was called a skunk operation were they scraped dead Pancreas away, they also found an abcess which was rid of. was in Hospital just under 4 months, now i don't drink or smoke. Was the drinking they think that kicked it off.

-- Wed Nov 13, 2013 10:31 am --

I wasn't given anything as i was told they were not allowed to do that anymore.

Cholesterol is, in general, a bastard.

If it's not forming into stones in your gallbladder, it's collecting in your arteries and planning a heart attack.

My uncle had gallstones a couple of years back but because they'd made it into his urinary tract, he had to pass them naturally. Ouch!!

yeah, she woke up from op and they were in a plastic bottle on bedside table with her name written on bottle

My ex was suppsoed to have gall bladder removed in a day procedure through keyhole surgery.

They messed it up and she ended up being in fior 10 days and having a temporary stent fitted.

Went in to have stent removed and they said they couldn't find it. I have told her to sue them but she doesn't want to as she works in the same hospital

Got my date to have my Gaul bladder out 27th nov. Champions league night! Missed Munich game in hospital now missing VP game. £99 on the cup scheme and only got to the csk game. Gaul stones arh!!!!

Got them at 19. Took ages to be diagnosed, mainly because I wasn't the stereotype. The attacks were awful.
