only got into this show about a 2 months ago, fully caught up with it now and its absolutely brilliant TV, going to start reading the books after the 2nd series is finished

I think the second series/season has differentiated a hell of a lot from the book, at least in comparison to the first, but the show hasn't lost any intensity because of it.

Shame next week is the last episode for the season, it's just flown by. Have no idea how they'll fit the 3rd book into 10 episodes next year.

From what I've heard they're breaking up the third book into two seasons. The next 10 episodes are only covering the first half of the third book.

Yea, they'll probably need to do that with the other books as well, otherwise they'll catch up Martin before he's finished the books

If you want to catch up:

with compliments

The third book is over two parts anyway isn't it? One covers the events in the North the other covers the South and Dany's story.

Love how they used 'The Rains of Castamere' for the end credits a nice little teaser for whats to come in the 3rd book/season

the people who haven't read the 3rd book will be really shocked when they air season 3 :)

They could really end the show after the 3rd book as far as I'm concerned.

Hopefully (if they go that far) TV versions of the 4th and 5th books won't be hour-long descriptions of food, wardrobes, and faraway cities. At times those books are an absolute chore to read.

-- Mon May 28, 2012 9:23 pm --

no, that's the 4th and 5th book. Different characters and stories that run simultaneously and not chronologically.
