Game of Thrones (season 8)

Fuck me the dialogue has gone to shit.

No longer to we have the nuance of the first few series.

Really lowest common denominator shit now.
 
There's going to be 'feature length' episodes in this season right? Why didn't they just cut pointless shit out like a 20 minute dragon ride?

Agreed, that bit felt out of place badly. It is not a stretch to imagine in the time we did not see them he had a few jaunts with dragon boobies with a couple of lecherous pervy dragons watching them. It was you know nothing John Snow in a cave part 2. It was 100% filler when time is already short.

The rest was largely reminding us what the hell had happened.

Sandor Clegane was one of the few who made me kind of say "ahh those were the days" when he talked to Arya

All in all, i decent "catch up" of sorts but with some fluff that was totally unnecessary.

I think it was in for a few reason.

Jon first rides a dragon, and why/how him and danny don't think , hang only targaryens can ride dragons??
It cements tht the pair have fell in love rather than just a bit of a shag on boat ride, which is leading up to man of honour jon finding out he's been banging his auntie and is also her king.


A filler, yes, but it was probably seen by the show makers as a part of the build up to the reveal.


Anyway fuck next episode is bound to be depressingly grim for the lot and a few people getting killed

Next ep promo and breakdown of ep one by the makers answers that question (in spoilers as not every will have seen yet)

I enjoyed that. Great to have it back on the telly. The production value alone makes it worth a watch.
