Game of Thrones (season 8)

Some were saying Jon was shouting “Come on” to distract the dragon, I thought he was just screaming at it as he’d effectively given up getting past it.
Yep. And as for distracting the dragon, both of them were in the courtyard, Arya started off in the second floor library, she wouldn't have needed to get past the dragon at ground level, she was on the walls.

You watch Viserian destroy the walls between the kings gate and entrance to the godswood, the only way Arya would be able to get from the library to the entrance with the wall smashed up would be throught the rubble and into the courtyard

He doesn't destroy all of the walls, he lands on one of them and then focuses on John. Nothing there that would have stopped Arya. She also plainly attacks the Night King from an elevated position, given he's far taller than her that suggests she didn't jump from ground level.

Well if you look at the layout of winterfells walls and the entrance to the gods wood in relation to the weirwood treen, she must be part salmon to leap that far off the wall unless she leaped from hunters gatewhich would conect to the library from the other undestroyed wall.

Anyway it doesn't matter either way if Jon helped or not, the win is all hers, she passed the white walker and stabbed the twat.

Perhaps a little too much analysis going on here! Reminds me of an English Lit. lesson.

Anyway, I've watched it twice and it's TV at its most cinematic. Extremely well put together and very enjoyable. Several great set pieces and loads of superb camera work and editing. The only thing that wasn't up to much was the dialogue.

Imagine the nitpicking the earlier seasons would have suffered from if we'd scrutinised them with the intensity we do the later ones. Imagine:
"It's so fucking ridiculous and unrealistic that Tyrion would have survived Blackwater like that. First of all, everybody in King's Landing sees him as a "demon monkey", so why would the soldiers listen to his speech and follow him into battle? And then when he does lead the assault, how does he kill a man twice his size without that guy even noticing him running behind him? And then he just happens to survive being slashed across the face by Ser Mandon Moore, who is a professional knight. He would have taken Tyrion's head clean off. And then Podrick, a fucking squire we barely know, just happens to save his life by stabbing Mandon Moore in the back when it's been established that he has no combat experience? Talk about plot armour. And then Tywin's army just comes in from nowhere and saves the day, even though he only left Harrenhal in the previous episode? Talk about jetpack travel and deus ex machina. Surely Stannis would have had scouts looking for a cavalry charge? And no major characters died in this episode either, even though it was billed as a huge battle? This show used to kill off main characters like Ned Stark, now it just wants to protect them. Talk about fan service. Has it even been established that Bronn knows how to fire an arrow with such accuracy that it would hit the wildfire in the water? And it's worth mentioning that Tyrion is only here because Bronn rescued him from the Vale, but that wouldn't even happen. Bronn was some random sellsword with no connection to Tyrion - why would he even fight for him? Again, fan service. I remember when this show used to be good."

I like the way the dragon kept waiting for john to stick his head up from behind the pile of rubble instead of moving a few inches closer and lighting him up.
Reminds me of James bond films when the villain tries killing Bond with lasers and sharks, giving him a chance to escape.
