Can't remember the year - last home game of the season I think...Fulham???

Travelled up 180 miles, only to sit in Mary D's with Rascal and a few others (BBH, Ciderjohn1 - think Sharon came over at half time). We had ice creams in the 2nd half!!!

Anyone else done this?

Left Cheadle at 6AM for Charlton away, lost my ticket, ended up watching the game in Charlton con club on teletext without about 50 pissed up blues

The goat scored i think

Not me, but one of the lads I travel with was duty driver for a home derby a few years ago, unfortunately an hour and a half into the journey he realised he'd forgotten his ticket, we phoned City to try and sort it out, but they wouldn't allow him a replacement ticket on the day, so having brought 5 of us up in his car, he ended up watching it in a pub near the Uni. As the driver he couldn't have more than a pint either. He did come back to pick us up and take us all home, and hasn't forgotten his ticket again.

Got on the 99 bus with my Grandad, came all the way from Sale(long way when ur 6) only to be told the match was called off! Was in the winter of 76, can't remember who we were to play but I know City had underground heating installed the year after, so never happened again, as far as I know!

went to crystal palace years ago, couldn't find the ground, finally got there 15 minutes late and they wouldn't let us in.
On a side note, went to see metallica a few years ago in Salt Lake, a friend of mine managed to talk his wife into letting him go. We got so fucked up in the bar beforehand he crawled back to the hotel and missed the whole show

I'm surprised they wouldn't let U in only 15 mins late! A few years ago when I used to go home and away we'd be lucky to get in with only 15 mins gone, in the lower divisions some grounds only had a couple of turnstiles and would take ages to get in if had a few pints on the way and left it to the last minute.

Brentford years ago in the cup. Day off work, lovely weather travelling down, parked up round the corner from Griffin Park only to be told the match was off. Thought we`d best double check, saw a load of coppers, started moaning to them, only to be told to shut up as they were Manchester police who`d come down with "us cnuts", he then proceeded to tell us that his wife had given him major grief etc as it was her birthday etc, etc & if we didn`t "fuck off" he`d arrest us. Got to the ground where we were given a free programme & the food from the hospitality. Had a couple of pints & drove home. Gutted.

Cup final 81, was 15 was supposed to be meeting a bloke on the corner of wembley way to buy a ticket ! Told my mum I was going with friends who had my ticket. Got the train on my own, walking down wembley way and got surrounded by about 10 Punk mohican haired spurs fans who gave me a kicking... tough guys picking on a kid !.... Guess what, couldnt find the man with the ticket! probably sold it for more before I got there. spent the whole game under wembley way standing at a burger van listening to it on his radio. was gutted but certainly an experience! Managed to get a ticket for the replay though. Still havent told my mum she still thinks I went to the game!

Notts Forest away with 2 mates who I used to go to all home and away games with, think it was 77-78 or 78-79 season. Drove all the way through a blizzard in a dodgy old mini with no heater and a sliding side window that used to fall out if you opened it. Went in to a pub just outside Nottingham, packed full with blues. We learned the game had been abandoned before we even left Manchester. I seem to remember a lot of skirmishes breaking out around the pub, was glad to get away in one piece, which is more than could be said for the car.
