Garcia and Kolarov....

Some players just don't suite the pl I think Garcia is a good player I just don't think he's suited to our league, tho I'd like to see him get at least another season to prove otherwise. Mendieta for those that rem or even Veron where quality players, proven both before arriving and after departing our shores but never reached the heights here.

Kolarov isn't a full back I don't know what he is but definitely not a left back, I know the full back position has developed over the years and there's a much more attacking dimension to the role (especially for us) but you still need a strong defensive element to your game, I'm not even sure he knows what defending is. He's been here long enough hasn't improved enough if at all, doesn't bring enough to the team and should be moved on in the summer.

I still believe Garcia is a quality player. As has been said before he should never EVER be played along-side Barry as they are the same type of player if anything the fault tends to lie with Mancini asking Barry to play further forward of the 2 which is not his natural role.

Garcia's best performances this season have been when he has Rodwell, Milner or Yaya in the midfield with him see Chelsea (h) and Newcastle (a).

As for Kolorov, sadly it hasn't worked out for him here, I really like the guy but thin he should probably move back to Italy where the style of play is ore suitable to his attributes.

I hate them both. Don't deserve to wear the shirt I know we can't have world class players in every postion, but these 2 are so average and slow its painful to watch.

Hoping they both leave in the summer along with couple others.

Paul 11/12 - I'm not saying they were MoM performances just in IMO they were his best performances for us (and arguably our best team performances in the league this season, apart form the Rags away).

I'm not being funny guys but, I make a point of watching him constantly for a few mins each game i'm at, just to make sure i'm not being unfair, but he is effing useless, can't run, can tackle but rarely close enough to the ball to do so, never seems to know who he's supposed to be marking, can't read the game, always liable to get his marching orders as he has the habit of tugging when opps breaze past him!!

So if you considered a player to be so average yet fast you'd be happy for them to stay? We should just sign up all the Olympics 100m finalists problem solved because obviously if you haven't got pace your useless as a footballer.

Thats fair enough Paul. It's all about opinions and we disagree about Garcia.

Here in NZ every City game is televised (I can guarantee that wasn't the case before I moved out here) and I too tend to spend special attention to players who are coming into particular criticism. I'll admit that alot of Garcia's performances have not been up to scratch but I'd also agrue that at the same time the team as a whole has not performed and it's down to the fact that he's played alongside Barry and the tactics are all wrong. The 2 games I've mentioned are the only 2 (I can remember) where Garcia has been allowed to play with players that suit his style and abilities and I do not think it's a coincidence that these were his 2 best games, he was positionally sound, and just like Barry if you have this then you do not need pace. He knew what was required of him and was familiar with it but when they play together everything seems to go to custard for the pair of them.

I also feel Nasri receives alot of unfair criticism whereas certain players are allowed special dispensation - Silva, Aguero, Kompany even Tevez.

Of all our players Kolarov and Dezko are the main 2 who I have a gripe with. Dezko perhaps I'm a little unfair too as our system doesn't suit him at all and he just can't adapt to it.

Paul, if he's as bad as you make out how is he even close enough to an opponent to tug at their shirt?
I'm not for one minute gonna say he's been great for us and yes he's had some dodgey games but how many of our squad hasn't? There's been shockers across the board in that respect, but he's put in some decent performances and he hasn't been half as bad as people have made out on here. He's a good player and Il wager that in 2seasons he'll be playing and performing well in the cl, wether that's with us remains to be seen.
