Garden Birds and wild birds thread.

Moved a few perennials in the garden to give them more space.
Blackbirds are now having a field day picking at the insects and bugs upturned.

Very common round here, they tend to call em turkey buzzards. They are huge and by christ are they ugly.

Pair of Cardinals on my feeder. Despite them being red they are good looking birds.

Cardinals are great looking birds. Not as nice as Blue jays though, obviously.
A pair have been hanging around our cedars for the past few weeks.
They had chicks in the lilac bushes a couple of years ago.

I've always had a fondness for corvids. So intelligent. And loving.

My favorite in this family of birds is the Raven. Large, black. loyal, caring, loving, intelligent.

I’m in deepest darkest Mississippi at the moment, the wildlife at the house we’re staying at is pretty different to home. Cardinals, Blue Jays, Ospreys, herons, Armadillos, Raccoons, all kinds of great Flora and Fauna

Gone to see your cousins?

Three pileated woodpeckers scrapping in a tree on Sunday.
