His turn this week to try and convince everyone that they can take us at home.

VD Vaart was last weeks spokesperson just before their glorious home draw with mighty Wolves.

Talking on the field lads - fucking do those spuds this weekend.

Just waiting for harry come out with some comment about how much the tea ladies are on at city and how they dont have their heart in it. where as the tea ladies at spurs are making it for the love of the club.

"It will be a big game and one we're looking forward to. There is no reason why we can't pull off a result there.

"City still have a great squad and a great team and no matter what team they put out it will be difficult to play against.

"It wasn't a great start to the season losing to the two Manchester clubs, but all the lads have shown what a great spirit we have here and the determination we have. We've come a long way since then.

"We know we have to play our best football to beat them - they gave us a lesson at home at the start of the season.

"They started the season very well which wasn't good for us, but we bounced back. I'm sure it will be a great game."

"We're not getting too carried away. We will take it one game at a time - I'm sure all the lads will say that.

"We know we're playing good football and hopefully we'll keep plugging away and keep ourselves in contention.

"It will be a big game and one we're looking forward to. There is no reason why we can't pull off a result there."

"There's no pressure. I don't think anyone expects us to win the Premier League, we're up there on merit and enjoying our football.

"As long as we're doing that we'll hopefully keep picking up points and keep ourselves in contention at the end.

"We're playing some great football, need to keep playing that way and stay together as a squad.

"It will not be easy to get above Manchester City and Manchester United but we'll give it a go."

Just bigging up his clubs chances.
Can't wait for Sunday.

I've only read his comments on the MEN site but I don't see anything disrespectful about what he's said. In fact quite the opposite - he basically said that City have a very strong squad and that it should be a great game.
He added that we gave them a footballing lesson at WHL this season.

He also said that he saw no reason why Spuds couldn't get a result, but I'd hardly expect him to say they were coming up here to get a good hiding.

Nothing wrong with any of that, IMO.
