With AVB going there now I think our chance of getting Bale and also getting rid of Ade will be affected by Sturridge. He had a good start to the season and AVB obviously liked him, and Spurs seemingly are in need of a striker and 65k a week Sturridge might look better than 170k Ade. We have also made rumblings about being interested.

Part of a deal for Bale could include us not competing with them for Sturridge. Also don't we have a 15-20% sell on for Sturridge or something? We could privately negotiate to pass this straight back to Spurs which would improve their negotiating position with Chelsea.

Why would Bale go to United? They have Young, Nani, Giggs, Valencia, Park who all play the same position. Plus they couldn't afford to princely asking price Levy will no doubt demand. I really hope our club are working hard to sign him but I haven't seen anything concrete to suggest they are.

Gareth Bale fine but noy worth 40 mill......no real international or European experience to speak off...this player is worth 25mill and if we have to give the spuds Ade to get him off the payroll.

If reports are to be believed and AVB has been given the job he may have said he'll take it as long as their star players arent sold. Because who are spurs without Modric, Bale and Van Der Vaart?

They replayed the Spuds/City game over here last week and if you remember the gilt edged Crouch header he put wide at 0-1, that came from an absolutely sublime first time Bale volley/cross. The lad has amazing talent, and would be twice the player he is now under our Bob.

Around 5 mins in this vid. Of course its only one little highlight, but can you imagine our forwards getting service like that?

Dzeko would be a different player & we wouldn't be struggling to score v WBA & Sunderland or Napoli for that matter.
