They will do anything to try and break our spirit,from charging/banning players,the media also have'nt let up since the game finished,small things to try and cause unrest within the camp,infact i would go as far as saying that it's not even jealousy but hatred of our club....hope to fcuk we fight this as it goes on in matches for 90mins,disgraceful.....

If he swore at him during the game then this is a farce. If it was after the final whistle, tunnel and so on then might be a problem.

The ref booked him, but didn't he have a go at a linesman/4th official as well, when added time came up? Who probably went moaning to the ref post match and it's in his report, so probably warrants another yellow, which would have produced a red = one game ban.

The quote from the FA does say following the game, so could have happened in the tunnel.

The question is whether Barry said what he said in the game or after the final whistle down the tunnel or something.

Yes, we know a shit load of players swear at the ref in the middle of a game, like Rooney but not just him, but this is probably not acted on because you'd have about 10 bookings a game, minimum. That being said, something needs to be done about it.

However, if he's gone down the tunnel after the game and called him a *insert naughty words here*, then it doesn't surprise me that action has been taken.
