mancini brilliance, could see Mr. Lazy was not tracking back (when does he) that left Nige as the only holding midfielder, Johnson not making any real impact, so rather than take YoYo off, takes Johnson off thereby allowing YoYo to keep attacking them down the middle of the park, and not having to track back, as Barry was picking up all second balls or breaking things up with Nige then releasing YoYo who probably on most occasions had just made it back to the half way line
Who in the name of holy fuck tards is YoYo???????????????

LMAO!!!!! You know, Yoyo Toure!!
Double champions league winner all round lazy fooker!

Oh yeah has his brother KoKo playing in the team as well

Thought he was superb, didn't have his best at Villa but last night as I find most of the time he just brings a bit of class to the centre, great offensively and puts a good shift in down the other end. Always what Barry does for the team often goes unoticed.

wish the relocated fans that turn up in the southstand for european games would realise this, barry is brilliant for us. because he isnt fast or doesnt have the vision of silva doesn't mean he's shit and should be sold.

Bullshit.

Before the sub, Yaya was on a one man mission to sort out all our problems.

He wasn't supposed to track back. The 'back three' were supposed to push up, but they got nervous after the goal, and stayed too deep, far too narrow. At one point Yaya got grumbled at for knocking a pass to Kompany that sent him scampering wide to pick it up, I'm almost certain he was just forcing him into his correct starting position.

Kolarov's superb runs were not being utilised, so Yaya repeatedly came across from his position and play him in.

And frequently there was no movement up front, so Yaya picked it up and carries it 30 yards at pace to shake things up.

The reason for the sub was that Silva was being outmuscled and outnumbered. It was a complete waste of our best player. Dzeko was probably supposed to use his bulk and movement to make space for him but it wasn't working, at all. Mancini stuck Yaya in there to barge through. Nowt to do with AJ.

P.S. Barry was good too.

Gareth Barry proving the doubters wrong since 2009!

has barely missed a match in over ten years..for three different clubs and now a england fixture.great player. consistent, determined and tactically very aware. a model professional footballer.

we are lucky to have him.

The idiots around me were moaning at Mancini making the change
"we're a goal down you idiot, why take off a forward for a defensive midfielder"

They hadn't the nous to work out that Barry playing would allow toure to be further up the field where he was already finding that their defenders kept backing off him and he became even more than a weapon

this i moved a few rows back from my season ticket seat in 116 and a bit across to 117 and there were some obvious new twats in there, the guy i was sat next to was sound as were the people in front who were obviously regulars there,

behind though were 2 or 3 complete numpties slating barry the most and pretty much every time we misplaced a pass, one of them even said "can't believe how these beat napoli, they are shit!" to which me and the guy next to me turned round at the same time and told him they didn't whilst laughing to each other. he was also chanting munich at every single opportunity, mainly when rossi got the ball.

not sure what it was but there was so much negativity in the SS last night, it seemed as though many wanted to have a go at the team rather than get behind them. like people have mentioned we have a lot of decent fans but also a lot of dick heads.

Once again he proved to be Mancini's Mr reliable. He's not the quickest, but he doesn't give the ball away and keeps the midfield ticking over.

Thought AJ was unlucky to come off, but you can't question Mancini. He has the experience and the knowledge - we needed to change the game and he did it. There will be other battles for Adam, he still offers something more direct than we have elsewhere in the team.

Barry and Milner, as stated above, absolutely excellent for us last night. Both imo deserve to start on Sunday, and more importantly would be our best solution to play United. It's just how we accommodate them and how we want to line up. Yaya further up with Kun Aguero, Nige and Barry holding, or Silva and Nasri central to control the game? Bob's decision tho :)
