If football was played in wheel chairs he'd be world class - he lacks so much mobility it's unreal! Sunderland had a 20 year old making his home league debut who completely outshone him. :-x

I actually thought he did really well at full back, he was ok in midfield. He'd do well with an attacking midfielder beside him but he has a lot more to his game than De jong for instance.

don't get him at the moment, he has his greatest performance in a blue shirt imo at chelsea, then at sunderland the game passed him by and he just wasn't involved at all,

second half he improved but sometimes he just looks so nervous on the ball, and at times its like he doesn't want it.

Its not negative its the truth, i was at the sunderland games yesterday and was amazed at how slow he looked. Two nippy midfielders with no technical ability scared him to death for most of the game, all becase they had a litle turn of pace. I can only assume he is carrying an injury, because has no pace at all.

Someone seems to have forgotten that Martin Windbag would have moved Heaven and Earth to keep him and the Spanish Waiter was desperate to add him to the BinDippers' squad. He is a constant England international, whose place in South Africa is not in question. Yes, he does lack a little mobility, he is not the quickest past the post, but he brings a reassuring calm to the midfield which, given a more creative midfielder, is well worth the money.
