Gareth Southgate knighted

As a defence lawyer he represented people linked to terrorist organisations, absolute wanker of a bloke, he said he had to do it as it was his "job", did he fuck, even Lawyers have a choice, he's presided over a rotten City with knife crime and gang culture growing exponentially.

Knife crime in London is not growing exponentially. There was a big spike in knife crime in London in 22/23 but it's now 8% lower than before the pandemic. The murder rate in London is lower than Johnson's last year as Mayor. Pretty sure that per capita the knife crime capital of the UK is the West Midlands, and there's many places statistically less safe than London.

I think I'd trust these figures rather than yours:

I'll have a proper look at those and compare them to the sources I used as Statista is a fairly unbiased source but I think we can both agree that those stats do not represent exponential growth do they?

I think they do so well have to agree to disagree.

The England team may have between 2021-2024 given us something to smile about after Covid, Brexit, Boris, austerity, Partygate, cost of living and a shit economy, but at the end of the day that tournament win to make all that end on a worthwhile note didn’t happen.

Wiegman deserves an Honorary Damehood for actually winning something, more than Southgate deserves an official Knighthood for failure or falling short.

If I was Welsh, I'd be a bit miffed that getting Wales to a semi-final was only worth an MBE, but getting English to a semi and a final was worth a knighthood.

I actually like Gareth, but if you're going to have knighthoods in sport, they should be reserved for people who win things.
