Garry Cook interview with Sky lifting the lid on takeover, Robinho, Kaka etc

The 3 I reallg wanted to hear about didn’t get touched upon

Eto’o
Lucio
And the big one Rooney
I imagine you'd get very similar answers to the one he gave to explain the John Terry situation. The agents were interested in speaking to us, the player was happy to either come to City or stay where they were, and they all ended up with the player getting a shiny new deal at whichever club they stayed at.

Edit: Just checked this out. Rooney signed a new five-year deal at United, Lucio and Eto'o went to Inter Milan instead.

Wonder if he’s a City fan now or if he ever comes to games.

Always liked him, he just seemed like a proper chap

Not sure if he’s a fan as such but I bumped into him and his mate just chilling in Summerbees like normal fans a year or two back before a game. Chatting to a few blues and seemed to be just there for the game.

Always had time for Cook, he was brilliant for the club and fans.

That was great. Thanks for posting Marvin.

I got a couple of tingles during that, especially remembering that 1st week leading up to signing Robinho... That seems like yesterday but, bizarrely, losing 8-1 to Middlesbrough seems a million years ago.

What a ride we've all been on, Blues. Incredible.

Thanks Garry. You're a City Legend IMO.

Gary Cook was a working class CEO, if such a thing exists? Got the fans from day one. Stood up for the club when needed to. Like many other City fans I will always have plenty of time for him.

He stood up for himself & the fans & I liked him but by doing that he had a target on his back for when he fucked up.
He did a few fuck ups, no way back from sending the email about Nedum mum.

Was delighted to see him back in 2012 & im sure when he sees us as number 1 it makes him proud. I would imagine he talks about it at every interview & the success of City & his role makes him very sought after.

Was at a few games recently and on the Avanti back. It's a shame he blotted his copybook and upset a few club members.

I am 20 mins in. Very interesting. Quite like the fella Garry Cook. For an executive, he does have an empathy with the man in the street. If it's pretence it's a good pretence.

Hopefully no one has posted it yet. If they have please delete. I just wanted other fans to see it as it's quite interesting.

Wayne Bridge I`ve just shuddered. The worst fullback I`ve ever seen
