plus, just because we've got limitless funds, doesn't mean that we would spend it all on one player. I'm sure they have limits on what they're prepared to spend.
I'm glad they pulled out personally if Milan wanted too much, otherwise everyone we buy would be stupidly inflated, like RSC for 40million!

our owners could afford a bid of £500m, but they wouldn't. there had to be a point where it becoms silly. a lot would argue we past that point with the bid we tabled.

i firmly believe this quick political win will be overshadowed in the future at ac milan when it dawns on them that they could have replaced 4 or 5 of dad's army with the proceeds.
