The contract Cahil signed in the summer was only to move his buy out clause from £4.5 mil to £15 mil. He was practically a spurs players when Garside pursuaded him to sign the new deal, fully expect him to leave Bolton in Jan or the Summer.

He is a good player, but not really proven against the elite.
