Can this guy solve the Centre back problem ? Mica Richards said that this guy is most under rated player in the League !

I am starting to think he will be our 4th or 5th choice CB this year. He or we turned down a Sunderland bid for him.

Micah tweeted yesterday how Nedum is a under rated defender out of the blue.

Ned was playing at RB for Sunderland when he scored that goal of the season candidate against Chelsea. He also marked Bale out of most of the Sunderland vs. Spurs game as a RB. Much better than Boateng as a RB.

He is a right back primarily. I have been saying for a while I think he will be back at city next season. why ? Sunderland wanted him, they have plenty of cash from bent and Henderson, it's not happened.

Noises in men articles saying he wants to come back and Mancini is receptive. Boateng wants away, he is a natural replacement can cover right back and central defence and would cost us nothing.

With the players we are moving out we are likely to need him for our homegrown quota.

He had an outstanding season at Sunderland.

People keep going on about that soccer am interview but in reality tevez does 100 times worse on almost a daily basis and nothing has said. The like of richards and aj have gone almost as far in interviews all be it not on tv.

There is a lot to suggest he could end up back at city.

Ned did fade towards the end of his Sunderland stay but the team as a whole went to the dogs, with injuries and confidence drops. But in the first half of the season he was one of the top 5 RBs in the league and everyone was raving about him.

I'd be happy to keep Ned in the 25 man squad instead of Kolo till the January window. Review the situation then. If we was to go at all I wonder if then he'd go for more as the bottom teams struggle for reinforcements and gete desperate. Being English is a major plus. (Personally I think this rule is crap as it forces you to just stock up on English squadies instead of getting them into regular playing jobs).

He ticks 2 important boxes, academy and homegrown - both important for the CL & PL squads. I'd be happy to see him in the starting line-up against teams like Wigan, Swansea, Wolves etc. I'd be up to him to see if he can kick on and challenge for a 1st team spot. As a squad player at the moment, definitely yes......

Hopefully we will get someone better. This guy is better than Lescott anyways..so i wouldn't be dissappointed with Cahill.

Haha...Gooney was so sure that Cahill would join City.
Im pretty sure he will be a City player…..since when did London even paper become reliable? Arsenal will never pay that fee for him.

Depends on the Vertonghen situation. Some people are adamant that we're just waiting til after this Friday (1st) to announce that signing. There's this lad Savic too.
