I don't rate him that highly but at around £6million it is such low risk that even if he turns out to be a dud, you'll get the money back for him (as he'll be under long-term contract) as long as he isn't paid stupid wages for his talent level.

An English,athletic,brave,ball playing centre half who weighs in with the odd goal,also decent leadership abilities from what i've seen.At 5m(ish) at 26 and arguably better than we have,minimal resettlement,its a no brainer.

There's room in our squad when Bridge and Onouha move on and,at worst,we'd double our money on selling him on in 12 months if a superior became available.

There's a reason why his reps are saying that both us and the Dippers are interested, Chelsea have offered him 60k and he wants 100k (believe it or not).

His reps are using said interest from other clubs as a tool to meet in the middle, you can't blame them for trying.

And he's better than Lescott and Toure right now. Would slot in straight away without the hastle a foreigner brings. We NEED a central defender NOW. Hells teeth, even if we need to offload in the Summer and take a financial hit then so be it, but he could just make the difference in winning the title and not - How much is that worth???????
