I listened to Robert Jenrick MP this morning on 5 Live. He has spoken about Handsworth in Birmingham being the least integrated place he has ever been. He said that he didn't see a white face in the time he was there. He then bemoaned the fact that the full clip was not played in which he said that skin colour was not the issue. He raised skin colour in the speech. Such MPs do this for political gain. I tend to look at someone's post history to determine their intention, and he is one who continually attempts to inflame. He will do that, and then despite being given the platform to air his views, he will complain that his opinions and those of people who think like him, are being shut down. I contend that he is a racist. Would he ever go into an all white area, of which there are many around the country, and single it out for a lack of integration - hell no.
I do not blame Muslims for being terrorists. That would be like saying that Christians are paedophiles because of the actions of a few priests. I declare those who continually post about Muslims but ignore similar crimes committed by non-Muslims as racist. Generally, their post history draws me to that conclusion.
The attack on the synagogue is deplorable. Attacking innocent people is never acceptable. That is why I also side with Human Rights Watch, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, and the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention in declaring the situation in Gaza as a genocide. This in no way excuses the actions of a terrorist in Manchester, but it does pave the way to similar, abhorrent incidents across the world, and we are complicit in it by continuing to offer arms and training to Israel. Though Gary Neville began by speaking about the synagogue attack, he was really making the wider point that society is being divided. That people like Jenrick and Farage, Trump and Musk will do it for personal gain is the most repulsive act of all, IMO, for they feed the ignorant the bile they need to carry out the most heinous crimes.
