Only a handful of these Turkish barbers are actually Turkish. Most are Kurdish, quite a few are Albanian. I’ve dealt with loads of folk from that part of the world over the years. Basically from Romania through to Iran. So Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iraq (mainly Kurds) and Iran. It’s an uninterrupted tract of land. And I’ve dealt with them all.

And the one group you just don’t fuck with is the Albanians. Absolutely fucking ruthless.

Love dealing with Turks. Good payers and always respectful. Enjoy their company very much. Very generous people.

I also think Romanians get a bad rap. Think they are fine to deal with imo.

Also liked almost every Iranian I have dealt with. Very refined people in my experience.

I once spent an evening chained to a radiator in Romania.
 
Neville is both thicker than he thinks he is and complete ignorant of history. But he's partly right, even if he doesn't know why.

England has a long history of angry white men, who would turn on anyone they regarded as different. It seems Jews first appeared in England with William the Conqueror, as he needed to borrow money to build his castles. In 1190 angry white middle-aged men besieged the Jews of York in Clifford's Tower and those that weren't murdered took their own lives. Jews were regularly massacred by armed groups before starting on Crusades. That's around 900 years ago, so not a new phenomenon.

There were angry, middle-aged white men who fulminated about immigration around the turn of the 20th century, be that Jewish or Irish immigrants. There were angry, middle-aged white men putting up notices saying 'No blacks or Irish' in the 1950's and 1960's.

And in 2025 there are angry, middle-aged white men still kicking off about immigration. So he's right in the sense that inherent, long-held racist attitudes among white people are a problem. But it isn't angry, middle-aged white men who are blowing themselves up on buses, tube trains and arenas. It's not angry, middle-aged white men stabbing innocent people outside synagogues or the Houses of Parliament after seemingly being brainwashed by a perversion of their religion.

If we closed our borders and all communities lived in peace and harmony, there would still possibly be middle-aged white men who would be angry about something. In the 1930's through to the 1960's, fascists and antisemites like Oswald Mosley, Arnold Leese and Colin Jordan still existed, long before Gaza was an issue. But these people are just one side of the coin. There's another group that just seems to hate anyone who is different to them, and want to do whatever they like, and they aren't white.

Didnt seem like he said anything too controversial. Said there's too much division in society.

And the bastards in the tabloids and grifters online have taken one part of it and used it out of context to create more division and there's a section of society that just read headlines on Facebook and fall for it.

This part, which Neville failed to mention, has made the middle aged angry white man even more pissed off. Neville talks about a divided society, yet ironically has just contributed to causing more division.
